From booking to boarding

  1. Book online

    Choose your ship and travel dates, see the price, secure your space – you pay on site.

  2. Arrive and park

    Drive to the car park at Modering 1 (entrance height max. 2.00 m). Your key stays with you.

  3. By shuttle to the terminal

    Around 20 minutes’ drive, then we stop right in the pick-up zone in front of the terminal. You can usually board until 17:00.

  4. Pick-up after your cruise

    Reserve your pick-up time and seat online in advance – with your own boarding pass. We collect you in the pick-up zone in front of the terminal or at the airport and bring you back to your car.

Just like on a coach: you choose your departure and your seats yourself – for the trip to the terminal and for the pick-up after your cruise. Then you hold your personal boarding pass in your hands.

Parking with a shuttle to Cruise Center Steinwerder, Altona and HafenCity

The car park at Modering 1 is about 15 km from the port. With our shuttle you reach the terminal in approx. 20 minutes’ drive and the airport in approx. 7 minutes. We stop right in the pick-up zone in front of the terminal – and collect you there again after your cruise.

Terminal opening hours

The opening hours of Cruise Center Steinwerder depend on the ships’ arrival and departure times. For Cruise Center Altona the operator refers you to your travel documents.

Luggage

Our shuttle takes you and your luggage straight to the terminal. Additional services such as oversized luggage incur extra charges.

Shuttle times

Daily from 07:00 to 18:00. Please plan your arrival at the car park within this period. There is no fixed timetable – we drive as needed.

When is the shuttle transfer available?

Our shuttle service runs daily from 07:00 to 18:00. Outside these hours no transfer is possible. There is no fixed timetable – we drive as needed; the approx. 20 minutes are the driving time to the terminal alone.

Where does the shuttle stop at the terminal, and how does the pick-up after the cruise work?

We stop right in the pick-up zone in front of the terminal – that is where you get out on your departure day, and that is where we collect you again after your cruise. You reserve the pick-up time (9 or 11 am) online in advance with your fixed seat reservation. If your journey ends with a flight to Hamburg, we collect you at the airport instead.

How much time do I have on departure day, and when do we set off after arrival?

You can usually board until 17:00; what counts is the check-in window in your travel documents. On the morning of arrival every guest leaves the ship by about 10:00 – please choose your pick-up time accordingly when making your fixed seat reservation.

Do I have to hand over my car key?

No, you keep your car key with you for the whole of your stay with us. When parking, please be considerate of other vehicles and do not leave any valuables in the car. We accept no liability for damage (see terms and conditions).

What payment options do I have?

You can pay for your stay conveniently on arrival by debit card, credit card or in cash.

When do I see the price?

As soon as you have chosen your ship and your travel dates in the booking form, the price is shown.

Can I cancel my booking?

Yes, you can cancel up to 24 hours before your arrival. Please contact our customer service by email or WhatsApp. If you cancel later, the full amount will be charged.

How secure is my vehicle at Hansa Parking?

Our site is monitored by camera around the clock, 365 days a year, by “Wachschutz Nord”. The security service is an external company; please address any questions or complaints directly to its operator.

Are child seats available in the shuttle?

We do not provide child seats in the shuttle. Please bring your own child seat – our driver will be happy to help you fit and remove it. On request, we can store the child seat for you during your trip.

Do you also carry larger groups?

4 shuttle passengers are included in the parking service. For each additional person we charge €20.00 for the outward and return trip. Additional services such as oversized luggage incur extra charges.

How tall may my vehicle be?

The entrance height of the car park is 2.00 m. If a vehicle does not fit because of its height, the price booked is still payable under our terms and conditions.
